I haven't posted in awhile. I've been moving to my new place every damn night. I just stopped in to check email and read a little news. The move is taking forever, but things should be easy for this weekend when people come help move the big stuff. I figure in another week or so I can actually call my house a home. Anyway, this picture just struck me as funny as hell. For those in the know, it kinda reminds me of a next-door neigbor...Terry. That little bastard was a mean mo-fo, especially after he ate his mac and cheese and drank his milk. That's all for now. As you were. -J
Yup, I think Terry threw rocks at Aaron. We used to set up neigbhorhood fights against the younger children and I think we had Aaron fight Terry. Terry also fought Gasca's little sister. The dude was a 3 foot tall dynamo. The funny thing is that I've ran across Terry several times as a teenager and even into my 20's. The last time I saw him I was probably between 23-26 years old. He was working at Software Etc. at the mall and looked exactly the same as he did when he was a kid....maybe a foot taller. When I was talking to him, he acted like he might have a learning disability or some sort of problem....he pretty much was like Uncle Rico....wanting to get a time machine and travel back to when he still lived in Walnut Creek. It was pretty sad. He gave me his number, but I never called him. I really wonder what happened to his older brother Patrick. I'd put money on a bet that he turned out to be a thug. As a matter of fact, I wonder what happened to a lot of people I knew when I was younger. Anyway, got to rambling. I get cable in my new place tomorrow so I will probably post after the weekend.
I never noticed this, but you and Locomocos have the same counter style. I did hers first, but your's has a higher number. I don't know who's the copycat.
i didn't notice either. i guess it just goes to show that we have good taste.....
speaking of counters, a-ron, you should rewatch Starman. it's got a guy from SETI on it. maybe you could impress him with your seti counter.......
it made me laugh!!!!
p.s. you really don't have to watch Starman circa 1984. it wasn't carpenter's best....in fact, stay AWAY. There's no accounting for boredom on a hot sunday afternoon with no cable....
Are you talking about The Jeff Bridges Starman? That movie was good on cheese but it's no Enemy Mine or The Last Starfighter. As for the counter, Cassie's right, great minds think alike. But, thirty Helen's agree......fools seldom differ.
well, you're right on that one. Enemy Mines was pretty good, and so was The Last Star Fighter. But have you seen The Last Star Fighter recently? The computer graphics are AWESOME. hard to believe they were top notch when that film came out. I always liked the part with the clone.
and in Enemy Mines, what was with the cheesy "feel good" voice at the ending that seemed to sum everything up? whatever happened to the guy who did that voice? He did the voice over in The Neverending Story as well..... hmmm......
I don't know what you guys are talking about when you say Enemy Mines or Last Starfighter. I've seen the latter before, but I wouldn't recognize it if I saw it today. The Neverending Story is a GOOOOD movie!

"If we're going to die anyway, I'd rather die fighting! Come for me Gmork! I am Atreyu!"
Aaron, truely you are the geek of geeks. I can't believe you remember so many obscure lines from that flick. I have a request....you have to post the dialogue about the healing drink the old lady gives Atreyu. Starts with "here, drink that, there's eye of newt in there...." I'll let you finish it...you used to have that whole scene memorized. Speaking of memorized.....Jade and I watched a documentary about the phenomenon of Midnight movies in the 70's...one of the ones they talked about was Rocky Horror. I can't imagine how many times I've seen it...but I would say 30-50 times in the last 15 years. I know that damn movie backwards and front and could quote it all day....as I did during the movie last night. The documentary also introduced me to a couple of other cult classics I've yet to see....Eraserhead, Pink Flamingos, and El Topo. All three looked pretty crazy. I'm going to definetly see El Topo and Pink Flamingos.....Eraserhead is too weird even for me.
eraserhead was pretty weird - i remember seeing it in high school. i also saw Pink Flamingos in high school at the fine arts theatre. it was - well - crap.
A-ron, you will like it! With that poop fettish of yours, you actually see someone eating a piece of poop in that movie! EEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!!
Current resident of Columbia, born and raised in Parkville Missouri, near Kansas City. BS from MU, post-graduate work at Northwestern U in Chicago...which coincidentally was the best time of my life.
Not friends with a ton of people but the ones I know I consider some of the best people I've ever met. Music is life to me, but I can't play a lick of it anymore. Other than that, you'll have to wait for my autobiography tentatively slated for release in 2025 when I'm old, fat, and famous.

That kid sort of looks like Terry. I wonder what ever happened to him.
Terry? Was he that kid that lived next to Aaron that he used to throw rocks at?

You'd better look out for Terry when he's had his mac & cheese and his milk. That's what makes him dangerous.
